Seville in dynamic times - An alternative program for the very sporty

After months of repetitive lockdowns, many of us not only want to travel again in the future; for some of us certainly calls for more exercise. - And why not combine the beauty with the practice -I thought, and arranged a route for runners, which depends on the time and stamina of the guests.

Seville is actually known for its Seville Marathon, which exists since 1985 and which takes place every February (The Marathon 2021 was recently canceled because of the Covid pandemic and postponed until autumn).

The marathon claims that it has the flattest profile in Europe - we are almost at sea level here, and it offers an excellent route that pasts by the most important sights of the city.

My idea was to take advantage of the fact and offer a city-tour for runners of different levels, where, of course, I would go ahead with my bike and a microphone. Accordingly, the runners would be equipped with a receiver who would allow them to follow my explanations during the tour.

The meeting point would be by arrangement or - in case of a private tour, I would pick you up from the hotel. The time is fixed: Either in the early morning when the city center is still „sleeping“ or in the evening depending on the season.

In the following I present you an overview of the circuits: A short distance of approximately 1 hour and for “professionals” a long distance of max. 2 hours:

- Seville is characterized by a historic city center of almost 4km2, which is one of the largest in Europe, and the city can also boast of 3 world cultural monuments. Accordingly the circuit passes through the most emblematic places in the city such as the Plaza de España, Torre del Oro, La Giralda with the Catedral, the Royal Palace, María Luisa Park or La Maestranza.

"Running" with me is perfect to achieve an overview over Seville, a city which offers all the touristic conditions for the visitors to stay more than a couple of days.
