Museum of Fine Arts

Since the Renaissance Seville was known as la Nova Roma and highly regarded as a center of arts, due to the fact that economic prosperity came with the overseas trade to the city. In the 17th century a Sevillian school of painters became internationally famous, with renowned artists such as Diego Velázquez, Bartolomé Esteban Murillo, Juan de Valdés Leal or Francisco de Zurbarán.

I therefore propose a visit to the Fine Arts Museum, the second most important collection of paintings after El Prado in Madrid.
